Vernon Carraway serves as Principal Consultant on Counseling Education and Workforce Development. Dr. Carraway completed a Bachelor’s of Arts degree with a concentration in Sociology and Psychology at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, and went on to earn a Master of Education at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida. Additionally, he has completed postgraduate work at both Boston and Northeastern Universities. He completed his doctorate degree at The Pennsylvania State University, College of Education, Workforce Education and Development, University Park, Pennsylvania.
He is Chief Executive Officer of the LANGSTON DU BOIS INSTITUTE (LDI): a Human Performance Enhancement Firm that offers pragmatic, evidence based-tools guided by a host of illustrative examples for new leaders negotiating a company’s “on-boarding” process.
Over the span of three decades, Dr. Carraway has served as consultant to a host of young executives of small 8(a) minority-owned and operated businesses as well as a host of colleges and universities across the nation. His research interests include a host of major colleges and universities across the nation. His interests includes the Educational Crisis Facing Young Men Of Color and the development of an educated, skill-intensive workforce in a knowledge-based global economy.
