Norm Jones, Ph.D.

Chief Executive Officer

Norm Jones Ph.D., is President and Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Diversity (iD) and also serves as a Principal Consultant. He has particular expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion work, having served in several senior diversity officer roles in higher education since 2001. As Harvard University’s inaugural Associate Chief Diversity Officer and Deputy Director in the Office of the Special Assistant to the President, Norm helped establish the University’s first office of diversity and inclusion while overseeing the day-to-day operations of several other offices including Title IX, Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity, and Disability Services. He served as the inaugural Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer at Amherst College where he oversaw the Office of Student Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the Office of Faculty Equity and Inclusion, the Office of Workforce Equity and Inclusive Leadership, and the Office of Academic Engagement and Student Success

Norm has managed multi-million-dollar budgets and consulted with HR and Finance executives on increasing strategic diversity, and articulating the bottom line around inclusive workplace practices. He has remarkable expertise in mid-management coaching and has worked one-on-one with dozens of high-potential employees who have been identified in the talent pipeline as “ready” for more senior positions within the organization. He has consulted both nationally and internationally and maintains research interests on topics such as trust development among senior teams, metacognitive approaches to student of color academic success, and inclusive onboarding in large organizational systems.

Norm holds a BA in English with a focus on Linguistics from Morehouse College, a Masters of Public Administration from Pennsylvania State University, and a Ph.D. in Workforce Education and Development with a focus on Organization Development, also from Pennsylvania State University.
