Norm Jones, Ph.D.

Norm Jones is an organization development scholar-practitioner with a focus on equity-minded executive leadership and team development. With over 25 years of experience in higher education and organizational management, he has held senior leadership roles at large-scale organizations and some colleges and universities. His past positions include Special Assistant to the Superintendent of Harrisburg City Schools, Associate Vice President and Dean of Institutional Diversity at Dickinson College, Associate Chief Diversity Officer at Harvard University, and Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer at Amherst College.

Dr. Jones also consults across the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, collaborating with organizations such as Ahold USA, Inc., Carlisle Regional Medical Center, Interlochen Center for the Arts, JetBlue Airlines, the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and many more.

As a published author, Dr. Jones has contributed several articles and book chapters and is a sought-after speaker and lecturer. He frequently speaks on topics like Diversity as Ecology, Inclusive Onboarding, Building Trust Among Mid-Managers, and Tomorrow’s DEI. A graduate of Harvard’s Institute for Educational Management and The Tavistock Institute on Human Relations, he was also an Arthur Vining Davis Fellow at the Aspen Ideas Festival. He holds a BA in English from Morehouse College and both a Master of Public Administration and a Ph.D. in Workforce Education and Development from Pennsylvania State University.

In his personal time, Dr. Jones enjoys life with his wife Paula, their blended family of five, and their two very spoiled French bulldogs, Bella and Jaden.
